Despite recent speculation as to whether Dana White is still planning to move forward with his boxing promotion, recently the UFC President provided an update on his plans.

White announced last year that he was going to promote boxing matches via ZUFFA Boxing, but since then, there hasn’t been much news on that front. While talking to CNN recently, however, the UFC exec relayed this (quote via MMA Fighting):

“I am making all my boxing moves after this summer,” White said. “When this summer is over, you’ll be hearing a lot about what I’m doing in the sport of boxing.”

White was also asked if he’d be interested in promoting British boxing star and undefeated heavyweight, Anthony Joshua.

“I would like that,” White said. “Right now, Anthony Joshua should be a huge star in the United States too. But he’s not.”

UFC 239 will take place on July 6th at the end of the promotion’s International Fight Week.
