After Max Holloway lost the UFC’s featherweight title to Alexander Volkanovski in December, many observers predicted a rematch would be tabled, and it looks like that’s going to be the case.

Holloway (21-5), who had won 14 straight bouts at featherweight before facing Volkanovski, lost the title via decision at UFC 245. The Hawiaan fighter  defended the title three times before dropping it to the new, Australian champ.

While speaking with Helen Yee and “The Schmo” recently, White confirmed that the UFC is “working on” booking Volkanovski – Holloway II. The UFC President also said the fight could happen “very soon”.

Volkanovski (21-1) has gone 8-0 to date in the UFC and has won 18 in a row.
