Dana White Would be “Very Interested” in Signing Decorated Wrestler, Jordan Burroughs
By FCF Staff
If Jordan Burroughs ever commits to taking a MMA fight, UFC President Dana White would be interested in having the famed wrestler fight under the promotion’s banner.
The Olympic Gold Medalist and world champion wrestler defeated Ben Askren on Monday, in a wrestling match for Beat the Streets. White recently spoke with Jim Rome, and when asked if he’d be interested in signing Burroughs, the UFC President said this (quote via MMA Junkie):
“Yeah, listen, I’m always interested in, you know, these guys that are considered the best athletes in the world in whatever it is they do wanting to come to the UFC,” White said. “Yeah, obviously I’d be very interested.”
The 30-year-old Burroughs has expressed an interest in competing in one MMA fight, but has not said he’d be interested in a fighting career.
