UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier appear to be on a collision course, and since the latter called out the champion earlier this year, the two have exchanged words.

At a UFC World Tour event last week, Jones was asked about Cormier’s reported plans to call for an immediate title shot, provided he defeats Roy Nelson on October 19th. Jones criticized the former Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix winner for having poor cardio, a limited reach and argued Cormier looked terrible in his Octagon debut versus Frank Mir.

Cormier was asked to respond to Jones on FUEL TV’s post UFC 163 show, and the renowned wrestler said the following:

“When I hear his quote, it’s like a 16-year old girl. Jon Jones, grow up bud, we’re going to fight regardless of how you feel. And when we do and I’m cutting the line and you might as well pull the guard because I’m taking you down.”

First things first, Jones is also scheduled for a bout, as he’ll take on Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165 on September 21st. In addition, top ranked contender Glover Teixeira could be the next man to face the winner of Jones-Gustafsson, if he can defeat Ryan Bader in impressive fashion on September 4th.
