Daniel Weichel to Fight Beau Baker at July 8th M-1 Challenge

M-1 Global continues to round out the card for the promotion’s upcoming July 8th, M-1 Challenge event in Costa Mesa, California, as it has announced today that German veteran Daniel Weichel will take on former NCAA Division 1 wrestler Beau Baker (pictured).
Weichel (26-7) is coming off a technical submission win via triangle choke over Magomedrasul Khasbulaev in March, to extend the lightweight’s winning streak to three. The well travelled vet is 4-1 in his last five fights.
Baker (8-4) will be looking to rebound from a submission loss to Alexander Sarnavskiy in March, after working his way to a unanimous decision win over Ran Weathers in January. The Virginia fighter also holds victories over Mario Stapel and UFC vet Tom Speer.
The upcoming, July 8th M-1 Challenge event will feature a heavyweight bout between Kenny Garner (6-3) and Pat Bennett (4-2) in the main event.
The card, which will take place at The Hangar in Costa Mesa, will be broadcast on Showtime.
