Dave Huckaba and Bobby Lashley Agree to Shark Fights 21 Bout

Huckaba

By FCF Staff

It appears as though that Dave Huckaba, and not Tim Hague as widely reported Monday, will fight Bobby Lashley at Shark Fights’ upcoming November 11th event in Lubbock, Texas. Shark Fights executive Wes Nolen has confirmed with FCF that Huckaba and Lashley have agreed to fight at the upcoming card, however, contracts have not yet been finalized.

Yesterday, reports surfaced stating that Hague had agreed to step in for injured Shark Fights heavyweight champ Darrill Schoonover. After the initial announcement, however, both Hague and Shark Fights confirmed that the fight in fact hadn’t been signed. Nolen also informed FCF that  the promotion had been talking with Hague, but that it was also in negotiations with several other possible replacements.

Huckaba (16-4) is currently riding a five fight win streak, which includes a unanimous decision win over Ruben Villareal at Shark Fights 18 in August. Four of the heavyweight’s last five wins have come via knockout or TKO.

Lashley (6-1) hasn’t competed since Titan FC 17 in March, when he scored a UD win over John Ott. Prior to the victory, the former professional wrestler was stopped by Chad Griggs at Strikeforce’s “Houston” card last August.

Shark Fights 21 will be broadcast via tape delay on FUEL TV.
