Ring of Combat II: A Solid Night of Action By Jim Genia (Secaucus, New Jersey – December 7th) Promoters Louis Neglia and Ray Longo can chalk up another successful event, as Ring of Combat II brought a solid night of action to the Meadowlands Exposition Center. Gathering together some strong local talent to compete in Muay Thai, mixed martial arts, and American kickboxing, the show delivered more than a few back-and-forth wars to thrill the crowd. From John Petrilli (RITC): RITC 42 – Results Steffens Named Fighter of the Night A high energy crowd welcomed Rage in the Cage back to Tucson after a two year absence. Knockouts, choke outs and arm bar submissions highlighted the evening’s entertainment. Lyle Steffens, a physical specimen attending the University of Arizona on an academic scholarship, put on another thrilling performance. He won by submission in round 1 over tough Glendale fighter Sid Fisher. This win earned Fighter of the Night (FOTN) honors for Lyle and moves him to the #5 spot in the RITC Light Heavyweight rankings. Other candidates for FOTN honors were Gabe Casillas and debut fighter Justin Nauling. Results:
