Diego Sanchez Announces Next Fight Will be His Last
By FCF Staff
Diego Sanchez has announced that his next bout will be the last of his remarkable career.
In recent months, the 39-year-old had confirmed that he planned to retire soon. But, the TUF Season 1 winner had not said that his next fight would be the final one of his career.
Recently, however, Sanchez tweeted out the comments below.
It’s my last fight my heart path has changed, it’s time to heal not hurt! One more Nightmare to give! It is honestly in
@danawhite hands who I fight, I have no choice in it nor do the match makers #endofanera

The New Mexico fighter is coming off a decision loss to Jake Matthews in September, and Sanchez has gone 3-2 in his last five bouts. One of those victories, however, came via disqualification against Michel Pereira, as Sanchez could not continue after taking an illegal knee in round three.
Sanchez currently holds a record of 30-13.
