Donald Cerrone and Nate Diaz Agree to UFC 141 Tilt

By FCF Staff

Following his one-sided, first round submission of Dennis Siver this past weekend at UFC 137, it hasn’t taken Donald “The Cowboy” Cerrone long to secure his next fight, as today the promotion announced that he and Nate Diaz have agreed to a December 30th bout.

The lightweight tilt will co-headline UFC 141, which will also feature a heavyweight showdown between former UFC champ Brock Lesnar and former Strikeforce champ Alistair Overeem.

The aforementioned win over Siver not only extended Cerrone’s (17-3) win streak to six, it was the Greg Jackson trained fighter’s fourth Octagon win.

Diaz (14-7) recently returned to the winner’s column, as the veteran tapped out former Pride champ Takanori Gomi with a first round, armbar in September, after losing back-to-back bouts to welterweights Dong Hyun Kim and Rory MacDonald.

UFC 141 will be hosted by the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be available for viewing by pay-per-view.
