Donald Cerrone Shows Cut Following UFC 160 Win
By Michael Hatamoto
UFC veteran Donald Cerrone picked up a dominant unanimous decision win against KJ Noons at UFC 160, utilizing effective striking and ground and pound to wear down Noons.
It was likely one of those ground and pound elbow strikes that caused a deep laceration on Cerrone’s right elbow.
Here is what Cerrone posted on Twitter:

Ouch!
I liked watching Cerrone mix his striking, wrestling, and ground and pound in his fight against Noons – whenever Noons tried to counter and respond on the feet, Cerrone was able to outclass Noons everywhere the fight went.
Cerrone is now 3-1 in his last four fights, picking up wins against Jeremy Stephens, Melvin Guillard, and Noons, though he lost to Anthony Pettis at UFC on Fox: Johnson vs. Dodson. I’d have to say Cerrone is near the top 10 rankings, if he didn’t squeak in already, so it will be fun to see what the UFC does with him.
Perhaps Cerrone against Josh Thomson or Khabib Nurmagomedov might result in a fun fight for fans to watch.
