Signs continue to point to a bout between Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis getting booked, as the latter says he would fight the former champ at the UFC’s next card in Australia.
After Du Plessis (21-2) won the middleweight title in January, by recording a split-decision win over Sean Strickland, he called for a fight with Adesanya. Since then, Adesanya (24-3) has also expressed an interest in fighting his rival.
More recently, the South African champ shared out the comments below via Instagram.
UFC 305 is expected to take place in August in Australia. But, the card has not been officially announced.
Adesanya hasn’t fought since he lost the title to Strickland via unanimous decision in September. The fight took place at UFC 293 in Sydney, Australia.
