Following Dustin Poirier’s loss to lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, the former interim champ is calling for a rematch with Conor McGregor.

Poirier faced Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 242 on Saturday, and was submitted in the third round. Not long after the loss, Poirier sounded non-committal about his future in fighting. But more recently, “The Diamond” tweeted out this:

I think me and Conor running it back makes a lot of sense at this point.

McGregor and Poirier fought at featherweight, back in 2014, and the latter was stopped in the opening round.
