Dustin Poirier Claims Conor McGregor Didn’t Make Donation, Latter Responds
By FCF Staff
Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor didn’t trade too many verbal shots ahead of their rematch in January. But, it looks like that may not be the case for their rematch in July.
Ahead of their second bout earlier this year, McGregor announced he would donate $50,000 to Poirier’s The Good Fight Foundation. Poirier went on to avenge his 2014 stoppage loss to McGregor, by finishing him in round two of the rematch.
The lightweight contenders are booked to fight again at UFC 264 on July 264. Recently McGregor predicted that he’s going to stop Poirier in round four, which prompted this more recent exchange.
Poirier tweeted out the comment below.
That’s a fun prediction!
@TheNotoriousMMA
you also predicted a donation to my foundation and you and your team stopped responding after the fight in January.
See you soon.
July 10th Paid In Full!
To which McGregor responded with:
A donation, not a debt. We’ve been awaiting the plans for the money that never came. I do with all my donations. Know where it’s going dot for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a lot of these foundations, sadly. You took the McG over the belt shows I was right.

A location and venue for UFC 264 has yet to be announced. McGregor (22-5) has gone 1-2 now since he returned to the Octagon in 2018, while Poirier (27-6, 1 NC) is 2-1 in his last 5 bouts.
