The UFC has added two pivotal fights in the lightweight division to its upcoming schedule, as former interim champ Dustin Poirier will take on Benoit Saint Denis, and former champ Charles Oliveira will face Arman Tsarukyan.

Recently, UFC President Dana White announced that Poirier will fight Saint Denis at UFC 299. The fight will be a five-round co-main event for the March 9th, Miami card.

Poirier (29-8) is coming off a knockout loss to Justin Gaethje in July and is 3-2 in his last 5 fights.

Saint Denis (13-1) finished Matt Frevola in his last outing, which took place in November. The rising contender has won five straight.

The Oliveira – Tsarukyan fight will be part of UFC 300, April 13th, in Las Vegas. The winner will challenge reigning champ, Islam Makhachev next.

Oliveira (34-9) stopped Beneil Dariush in his last fight, which went down in June. The former champ and noted finisher is 4-1 in his last 5 fights.

Tsarukyan (21-3) also finished Dariush in his previous bout, which occurred last month. The contender has also gone 4-1 in his last five outings.
