The Ultimate Fighting Championship has added a bantamweight bout to its upcoming February 4th event that has the potential to be action packed, as the promotion has announced that Edwin Figueroa will fight Alex Caceres on the card.
Caceres(6-4), or “Bruce Leeroy”, is coming off a unanimous decision win over Cole Escovedo at last weekend’s UFC on FOX card, to end a two fight losing skid.
Figueroa (8-1) hasn’t fought since August, when the experienced striker stopped Jason Reinhardt in the second round at UFC Live 5 event. The win came after Figueroa lost by unanimous decision to Michael McDonald at UFC Fight Night 24, in what was the night’s “Fight of the Night” winner.
UFC 143 will be hosted by the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada is expected to feature welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre versus Nick Diaz in the main event.
