Eight More Bouts Confirmed for Bellator 50

Bellator Fighting Championship’s upcoming September 17th event in Hollywood, Florida, will be an extensive one, as the promotion has confirmed eight more bouts for the event.

Bellator 50 will be hosted by The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and will feature the opening round of its Season Five middleweight tourney. (Pictured: Zelg Galesic)

The eight preliminary bouts that have been added to the card include middleweight Rad Martinez (9-2) vs. Brian Van Hoven (7-3), featherweight Luis “Baboon” Palomino (16-7) vs. Edson “Little Tiger” Berto (16-8-1), Ailton Barbosa (9-2) vs. welterweight Ryan Keenan (4-1), Cristiano “Solider” Souza (4-0) vs. welterweight John Kelly(5-3), Marcos da Matta (8-1) vs. Shah Babonis (10-7), middleweight Valdir Araujo (8-2) vs. Ryan Hodge (4-4), lightweight Dietter Navarro (0-1) vs. Marcelo Goncalves (1-1) and another 155lb. bout between J.P. Reese (3-1) and R.J. Goodridge (4-1).

The September 17th main card will be broadcast live on MTV 2.

The previously announced middleweight quarter-final match-ups will see Bryan Baker take on Jared Hess, Zelg Galesic fight Alexander Shlemenko, Sam Alvey battle Vitor Vianna and Victor O’Donnell meet Brian Rogers.
