Ellenberger, Waldburger, Riddle, and Benoist Collect UFC Fight Night Bonuses

By FCF Staff

Not only did Jake Ellenberger entrench a position as one of the sports premier welterweights last night, by stopping Jake Shields at UFC Fight Night 25 in New Orleans, the veteran collected an extra $55,000 for his efforts. The UFC announced afterwards that Ellenberger was awarded the “Knockout of the Night” bonus for his 53 second stoppage of the renowned Shields.

Ellenberger’s win was the only one to come via stoppage on the card, as all of the night’s other results came by submission or decision.

The “Submission of the Night” award went to TJ Waldburger, who tapped out Mike Stumpf with a first round triangle choke, while “Fight of the Night” honors went to Matt Riddle and Lance Benoist.

All of the award winners received $55,000 dollar bonuses.
