Undefeated lightweight Yoislandy Izquierdo to face Reza Madadi

Eric Wisely (19-7) has been tapped to replace injured Akira Corassani in the featherweight (145 pounds) matchup with Jason Young (8-5) and undefeated lightweight (155 pounds) Yoislandy Izquierdo (6-0) will square off with Reza Madadi (11-2) at UFC on FUEL TV 2 at at Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on April 14.  The two new bouts complete the fight card.

Young, who compiled a 4-1 record outside of the UFC before signing with the world’s top MMA promotion, is 0-2 inside The Octagon to date.  He suffered decision losses to Dustin Poirier at UFC 131 and Michihiro Omigawa at UFC 138, respectively.

After gaining recognition in Strikeforce and Superior Cage Combat and amassing a 5-1 overall record, Wisely was picked up by the UFC.  He suffered a loss by way of first round submission (calf-slicer) to Charles Oliveira on the preliminary card of UFC on FOX 2 on Jan. 28.

In his last start, the 28-year-old Izquierdo of Miami, Fla. by way of Cuba, knocked out previously unbeaten Patrick Cenoble with a barrage of punches in the first round of a Championship Fighting Alliance bout on Dec. 17, 2011.  The fight with Madadi will be Izquierdo’s UFC debut.

Madadi, 31,will also make his UFC debut and is on a six-fight win streak that includes victories over notable adversaries Junie Browning, Carlo Prater and, most recently, Rich Clementi, whom Madadi earned a unanimous decision over on April 30, 2011.
