Etim vs. Faaloloto, Nijem vs. Downes Latest UFC Confirmations

By FCF Staff

Two more lightweight bouts have been added to the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s fall schedule, as the promotion has announced that Terry Etim will meet Edward Faaloloto at UFC 138 and that Danny Downes will fight Ramsey Nijem at UFC 137.

Etim, who will face Faaloloto on November 5th in Birmingham, is coming off a submission loss to Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 112 last April, which ended the British fighter’s four fight winning streak.

Faaloloto (2-2) is coming off back-to-back losses to Anthony Njokuani and more recently Michael Johnson, who stopped the Brazilian at UFC Live on Versus 4 in June.

UFC 138 will feature a middleweight fight between Chris Leben and Mark Munoz in the main event.

Downes (8-2) will head to Las Vegas to battle Nijem on October 29th, having dropped a unanimous decision loss to Jeremy Stephens in June. The Duke Roufus trained fighter had won two straight prior to the loss.

Nijem (4-2) will compete for the first time since he was knocked out by Tony Ferguson on June 4th, while competing in the finals of the thirteenth season of TUF.

UFC 137 will be headlined by a welterweight bout between champion Georges St. Pierre and former Strikeforce champ Nick Diaz.
