THE FIRST KING OF THE CAGE FOR 2001!


Hosted by Eddie Bravo and Don "The Dragon" Wilson and emceed by "The Voice of the Octagon" Bruce Buffer, "King of the Cage 7" will officially kick off the fight year for 2001 with a card that will continue the great King of the Cage cards of 2000. Already renowned for bringing the best domestic and international mixed martial arts competitors into the cage, "King of the Cage" once again out does itself with a fight card containing 11 top-notch matches, including 2 King of the Cage World Title fights.

In a heavyweight championship match sure to rock the fighting world, King of the Cage World Heavyweight Champion Ricco Rodriguez looks to defend his title against 2-time IFC Champion Paul Buenatello. Newly crowned King of the Cage World Middle Weight Champion Joe Hurley makes his first defense against King of the Cage fan favorite, Charlie Kohler. And fresh off his record setting 6 second KO of Roger Neff in King of the Cage 6, see the Lion’s Den Pete Williams as he tries to make Rick Mathis his next victim. The main events wrap up with former King of the Cage World Middleweight Champion Chris Brennan as he steps back into the cage against grappler/striker Yves Edwards. Also scheduled on the card—Lion’s Den stud Tony Galindo, Muay Thai specialist Marvin Eastman, and the much anticipated King of the Cage debut of Jiu Jitsu black belt Raphiel Torre.

This is a chance for YOU to compete against a World Champion. The only requirement in order to limit the size of the division is that each school will be allowed to enter only one fighter to represent their team.
