FFC 37: Shkodran Veseli Forced Out Through Injury

By FCF Staff

FFC Welterweight Kickboxing Champion Shkodran Veseli has been forced out of FFC 37, with an injury that requires the “Albanian Warrior” to undergo surgery.

Orsat Zovko, President of Final Fight Championship released the following statement regarding Shkodran Veseli:

“Shkodran Veseli is not just the “Albanian Warrior”, he is our “FFC Warrior”. Veseli has always gone above and beyond for the promotion and has accepted every fight we have put to him. The welterweight kickboxing title will remain in his hands and we will await his return to defend his title. Veseli and his team are a credit to themselves and we look forward to his recovery back to full fitness”.

Veseli has competed seven times under the FFC banner, winning six of those and three by way of knockout. His legendary career has seen him rack up a 65-15 record, with an incredible thirty-eight stoppages, despite being just twenty-eight years old.

“The Albanian Warrior” has been a huge star across Europe, particularly in Austria, where he has won the welterweight title back in 2014 at FFC 16, outpointing Duoli Chen. His most recent outing came at FFC 31 in Las Vegas, where Veseli knocked out Francois Ambang in the fourth round.

FFC 37 goes ahead with a new headliner. This will be announced in due course.
