Following their second bout last August, both Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz said they were up for a rubber match, but it looks like the latter’s changed his mind.

The rivals fought in the headliner of UFC 202, and McGregor avenged his March, submission defeat to Diaz, by receiving a majority decision win. Immediately after, McGregor said he was interested in facing Diaz for a third time, but not next. Since then, McGregor has gone on to defeat Eddie Alvarez to win the lightweight championship, and he’s in talks to box Floyd Mayweather Jr. It remains to be seen, however, when and who Diaz will fight next.

The Stockton fighter was a guest on the latest episode of “The MMA Hour”, and Diaz was asked about fighting McGregor for a third time. Diaz denied that he ever intended to wait out for another bout with McGregor. In addition, Diaz angrily dismissed the idea that he should fight Tony Ferguson, as a means to set up a rubber match with McGregor. The argument being that McGregor should be eager to face him for a third time.

In addition, Diaz also had this to say about his rival (quote via MMA Fighting):

“He’s the f*cking bitch,” Diaz said. “You’re the f*cking bitch, Conor. You f*cking got your ass whipped and you’re running around like, ‘I’m the two-belt champion, I overcame adversity.’ I’m like when? When you were quitting in that second fight? In the third round, he was making sounds like, ‘ugh, ugh….”

“I don’t want a f*cking third fight,” Diaz said. “F*ck Conor. He can f*cking fight himself.”

Prior to facing McGregor, which were fights contested at 170 pounds, Diaz earned a decision win over lightweight contender, Michael Johnson.
