With Cage Warriors flyweight champion Jake Hadley receiving a call up to Dana White’s Contender Series, the search for a new champion at 125lbs will kick off at this week’s Trilogy series in the form of a tournament.

At CW 123 on Thursday 24th June, two-time title contender Sam Creasey will take on Aaron Aby in the first fight of the tournament.

The following night at CW 124 will see former champion Luke Shanks take on knockout artist, Nicolas Leblond, in the second fight of the tournament.

Speaking on the announcement of this tournament, Cage Warriors president, Graham Boylan, said: “Just when you think our Trilogy can’t get any better we add a tournament to the mix.

“Looking at this tournament we have some cracking match-ups too.

“Sam Creasey is trying to get back to the title picture for the third time, and he’s taking on Aaron Aby, who has overcome so much just to get to Cage Warriors, and his first fight with us is effectively a title eliminator.

“In the second fight you’ve got Luke Shanks who wants to get the title he lost back, but he’s got to get past Nicolas Leblond who produced an insane knockout in his last fight.

“This tournament guarantees fireworks!”

Cage Warriors fans The Trilogy will be able to watch the Trilogy live on UFC Fight Pass and via Cage Warriors’ global broadcasting partners on 24th, 25th and 26th June.
