Former Boxing Champ Andre Berto Tells Dana White “Call Me”

Andre Berto

By FCF Staff

The last man to box Floyd Mayweather, before Conor McGregor did on Saturday night, wants to make a run in the UFC.

Following Mayweather’s TKO win over McGregor this past weekend, former boxing champ Andre Berto spoke with TMZ. While doing so, the 33 year-old welterweight relayed that he wants Dana White to call him, and that he wants to fight for the UFC.

In addition, Berto had this to say (quote via Bloody Elbow):

“I wanna be the first fighter ever to be a world champion in boxing and go get a UFC world title. It’s never been done. That’s never been done. Tell Dana to holler at me!”

Berto’s father, Dieuseul, fought at UFC 10, and both his sister Revelina and James Edson are pro MMA fighters.

The former Olympian boxed Mayweather in 2015, and Berto lost the bout via unanimous decision. Currently Berto’s pro-boxing record stands at 31-5.
