Former Denver Bronco Demetrin Leandro Veal Making MMA Debut at ROF 43

Fighting Ex-Pro Wrestler Chad Wicks

By FCF Staff

Ring of Fire has announced that former Denver Bronco defensive tackle Demetrin Leandro Veal will make his pro MMA debut against ex WWE wrestler Chad Wicks at the event, who also will be fighting professionally for the first time.

The 30 year-old Veal retired from professional football in 2010 due to a knee injury, while the 34 year-old Wicks is no longer involved in wrestling and is reportedly looking to make a run in MMA.

Veal will have a size and reach advantage over Wicks, however, as the former football player is 6’3, 240 pounds while the latter is 5’9, 220.

ROF 43 will be hosted by the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, and will feature well traveled veteran Phil Baroni taking on Chris Holland, as well as a bout between former UFC competitors Cameron Dollar and Tyler Toner.
