One of the planet’s top kickboxers, Robin van Roosmalen, has announced he’s transitioning fulltime into mixed-martial-arts.

The 29-year-old Dutch fighter, who won GLORY’s lightweight and featherweight titles, recently announced his decision in the statement below (via MMA Fighting):

”After 10 years competing at the highest level in kickboxing, I am proud to officially announce that I will be crossing over to mixed martial arts full time,” van Roosmalen said. “I have been training with the world class team at Hard Knocks 365, and I know that I can make an immediate impact in the biggest promotions in the world. I am excited to be working with Audie Attar, Tim Simpson and Paradigm Sports Management, and I have full confidence in my team as we take the next steps in my fighting career. Thank you to all my supporters, friends and family – the best is yet to come.”

Van Roosmalen has already fought twice under MMA rules and won both contests. The decorated striker also reportedly holds a black belt in Judo.
