Next week’s November 18th Strikeforce Challengers card in Las Vegas will include a welterweight bout between Quinn Mulhern and Dave Hulett, according to the former King of the Cage champion.

Mulhern made the announcement on his official Twitter account, stating:

“It’s official. Fighting David Hulett on November 18th back in Vegas. The man likes his submissions, so it should be fun.”

A representative from Zuffa, Strikeforce’s parent company, has since confirmed with FCF that Mulhern is fighting Hulett next week.

Mulhern (16-2) will be looking to record his second win with the promotion, as in September the highly regarded grappler tapped out Danny Davis Jr. with a third round, arm-triangle-choke. The welterweight made his Strikeforce debut in June and lost by unanimous decision to UFC vet Jason High.

Hulett (18-9) is coming off back-to-back wins over Dan Keefe and most recently Canadian prospect Ryan Ford, after being submitted by Ryan Machan while competing for Pure Fighting Championship in May.

The upcoming challengers card will be hosted by the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, and will feature a middleweight bout between Antwain Britt and Lumumba Sayers in the main event.

The event will be broadcast live on Showtime.
