Former TUF Competitor Matt Riddle Fighting Luis Ramos Next
By FCF Staff
Matt Riddle and Luis Ramos will look to get back on the winning track against one another, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced today that the welterweights have agreed to fight December 30th.
Riddle (5-3) will head into the UFC 141 card having lost back-to-back bouts to Sean Pierson and most recently Lance Benoist, after he stopping fellow “Ultimate Fighter” vet DaMarques Johnson last August.
Ramos (19-7) is coming off an abrupt, Octagon debut in August, as the former Shooto champion was stopped by Erick Silva in forty seconds. Prior to the defeat Ramos had won three straight fights.
UFC 141 will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between former UFC champion Brock Lesnar and ex-Strikeforce champ Alistair Overeem.
Some of the other bouts scheduled for the card include lightweight Donald Cerrone vs. Nate Diaz, Shane Roller vs. welterweight Jon Fitch, light-heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson vs. Vladimir Matyushenko, and Manny Gamburyan vs. featherweight Diego Nunes.
The December 30th event will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
