By FCF Staff
Former UFC bantamweight champ, Renan Barao, is set to fight this coming Friday, marking the first time he will have competed since 2019.
The 34-year-old Brazilian, who at one time was widely regarded to be one of the best fighters on the planet, is booked to fight Tyson Duckworth (12-9). The bout will be part of the November 19th, Premier Fighting Championship card in Springfield, Mass.
Barao (34-9) hasn’t fought since November 2019, when he dropped a decision loss to Douglas Silva de Andrade. The defeat was Barao’s fifth straight and marked the end of his UFC run, which began in 2011.
Fellow UFC vet Marcus Davis is scheduled to fight Stephen Stengel at Friday’s event as well. The 48-year-old Davis hasn’t fought since 2014.
Premier FC 32 will be available via FITE TV.
