Forrest Griffin Eyes Possible Return From Injury In Late 2013
By Timothy J. Gilbert
Absent from The Octagon over half a year since his third historic bout against former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Tito Ortiz, it seems Forrest Griffin’s injury will keep him from fighting for a possible seven months more.
Griffin sustained a torn MCL and strained ACL in his knee in December while training for his fight against Phil Davis.
Griffin recently updated the status of his knee through an announcement on his twitter page,
“Dr said my knee is doing great ill be able to go in 6-7 months. We must have different Definitions of the word great,” said Griffin.
Griffin, who is 33 years of age and has over 25 professional bouts, has struggled with injury in the past.
Griffin’s upcoming return will prove as yet another test in this The Ultimate Fighter winner’s career.
