Frankie Edgar Tells Conor McGregor He’ll Fight Him at “Any Weight Class”

Frankie Edgar

By FCF Staff

Frankie Edgar recently announced he’s moving to bantamweight, but it looks like he’d put those plans on hold, for a fight with Conor McGregor.

After Edgar lost via decision to featherweight champ Max Holloway at UFC 240 in July, the former lightweight champ announced he plans to drop to 135. In a recent interview with ESPN, McGregor mentioned Edgar, as one of the fighters he’s interested in fighting. That prompted Edgar’s response below:

You know I’m down to fight @thenotoriousmma it should have happened a long time ago. I know I’m going down to Bantam weight but for you any weight class will do. Anytime any weight class you know I’m game. @danawhite @seanshelby

McGregor hasn’t fought since last October, when he was submitted by current lightweight champ, Khabib Nurmagomedov.
