Full Content Fighter’s “The Daily Takedown:” Dana White Cuts Back – Twice as Hard

UFC President Dana White

By Joshua Molina

UFC boss Dana White knows how to hold a grudge.

Just ask Fedor Emelianenko, Frank Shamrock, Josh Barnett, Bob Arum, Greg Jackson, Roy Nelson, etc. These are people who Dana White has blasted publicly because he disagreed with them.

When it comes to verbal vengeance, White is the Anderson Silva of MMA.

His latest victim? The Palms Casino in Las Vegas. The casino reportedly cut off credit line in half — because White was winning too big at the tables.

In response, White pulled all UFC events from The Palms, which had been the site of The Ultimate Fighter finale. A published report also said that Casino dealers are very unhappy with the management decision because White no longer gambles at all at The Palms, ending years of generous tips.

The moral of the story? Don’t cross the boss. He will take his ball and go home.

Junior Dos Santos is doing exactly what he shouldn’t before a big fight — talking about another fighter.

JDS told the Associated Press that he could knockout heavyweight boxing champ Wladimir Klitschko. Why is he answering these kinds of questions. JDS should only one thing on his mind – Cain Velasquez.

Who cares if he can beat Klitschko? And it’s no guarantee that he could beat him, either. In an MMA fight, yes JDS would win. In a straight-up boxing match? Who knows? Klitschko would have the advantage, since he’s a professional boxer.

The point is moot anyway. Who cares. Can JDS beat Velasquez? That’s the question.
