Gegard Mousasi Calls For Bout With Anderson Silva
By FCF Staff
Following Gegard Mousasi’s decision win over Thales Leites, the middleweight contender is calling for a bout with former champ and legend, Anderson Silva.
Since the UFC is headed to Silva’s hometown of Curitiba, Brazil, for a May 14th card, it’s been reported the fighter is hoping to fight at the upcoming event. Recently his trainer Rogerio Camoes told Sherdog.com that bouts between Silva and Mousasi or Tim Kennedy are possibilities.
Well, Mousasi’s manager has released a statement saying that the middleweight will not be able to compete at the event, since it’s approximately two months away. The fighter is, however, hoping for a bout with Silva at UFC 199 or 200.
Let’s make history. Do U accept my challenge @SpiderAnderson ?

Silva also competed at UFC Fight Night 84 in England, and lost a tightly contested, decision to Michael Bisping.
