Gegard Mousasi has been booked for his first Bellator bout, and the UFC vet will take on the promotion’s former middleweight champ, Alexander Shlemenko.

During the Bellator 181 broadcast it was reportedly announced that Mousasi – Shlemenko will be part of Bellator 185, which will take place on October 20th.

Mousasi (42-6-2) is riding a five fight winning streak heading into the bout, and is coming off a stoppage win over Chris Weidman in April.

Shlemenko (56-9), meanwhile, has gone undefeated in seven straight fights and quickly took out Brandon Halsey in his last bout, on June 1st.

Bellator 185 will take place in Uncasville, Connecticut.
