Georges St. Pierre Continues Reign at UFC 154 With Decision Win

Georges St. Pierre

By FCF Staff

Georges St. Pierre said Carlos Condit was going to be his toughest test to date, and the interim welterweight champ proved to be a considerable challenge for the reigning champion at UFC 154. Despite a resilient effort from Condit, and a left high kick that floored St. Pierre in round three, the renowned fighter’s wrestling and top game was too much for the challenger.

At the conclusion of the entertaining, five round and bloody war, St. Pierre was awarded the unanimous decision win. The victory, which was GSP’s 23rd of his career, marked the first time he had fought since April, 2011, due to knee surgery.

As expected, St. Pierre was asked whether he was interested in fighting middleweight champion Anderson Silva next, who was sitting cageside alongside Lyoto Machida. St.Pierre did not commit to the bout, however, and said he would have to consult with his management team first.

Here are the results from UFC 154, which was hosted by Montreal’s Bell Centre.
