Georges St-Pierre Releases Open Letter Explaining Relationship With Drug Kingpin
By FCF Staff
Georges St-Pierre has released an open letter explaining his relationship and support for international, drug kingpin Jimmy Cournoyer.
Cournoyer recently reached a plea bargain agreement with U.S. authorities, which will see the Quebec man avoid life imprisonment, but receive a mandatory, 20 year minimum sentence. The 33 year-old has reportedly admitted to being the head of a $-1 billion dollar drug network.
GSP recently announced his support for Cournoyer in a letter, but due to the response it apparently received, the decorated fighter has authored another.
Here is the latest letter St-Pierre has released via Twitter:
St-Pierre hasn’t fought since November, when he scored a split decision win over Johnny Hendricks.
The fighter announced he was taking a break from fighting afterwards, due to personal reasons, and it remains to be seen if and when he’ll fight again.
