By FCF Staff
The camp of UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre has released a new video which documents the fighter’s ongoing recovery from knee surgery, which was required to repair the torn ACL he incurred while training last December.
The injury was so significant that the renowned fighter is expected to be sidelined until later this year, when he will return to fight current interim champion Carlos Condit.
According to St. Pierre he continues to recover well from the injury, as the fighter tweeted today:
More than 5 Months into rehab with @sportsciencelab & feeling great. You fans are a huge part of my Road to Recovery.
The 31 year-old St. Pierre (22-2) hasn’t competed since last April when he worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Jake Shields at UFC 129. The victory was the French Canadian fighter’s ninth in a row.
