Georges St-Pierre doesn’t have an official date yet for his bout with middleweight champ Michael Bisping, but the star’s reporting he’s already bulked up for the fight.

St-Pierre will be returning to the cage for the first time since 2013 later this year, and the former welterweight champ will be competing for the first time at 185 pounds in the Octagon. At a recent Q&A for his sponsor Hayabusa, GSP relayed the following (quote via Bloody Elbow):

“I have always been the same weight. When I knew that we were going to fight Michael Bisping, when I signed the contract, that’s when I decided to put on a little more weight,” St-Pierre said. “I won’t be able to put a lot, because I’m a natural guy. But I’m already a little bit bigger than I was.

“I’m the biggest I’ve ever been right now in my life. Bisping will still be bigger than me, but I’m confident that this will help.”

Initially, UFC President Dana White said he was hoping to book Bisping – GSP for the first week of July, but it’s been reported that the latter wants to wait until late summer, early fall for the fight.
