Gerald Harris vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura Official for DREAM 17
By FCF Staff
DREAM has officially added a middleweight bout between UFC vet Gerald Harris and Kazuhiro Nakamura (pictured) to the line-up of the promotion’s upcoming September 24th event in Saitama, Japan.
Harris (18-4) has gone 1-1 since exiting from the UFC last year. Most recently, Harris worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Strikeforce vet Anthony Ruiz at Tachi Palace Fights 9 in May. In February, he lost by unanimous decision to James Head while fighting under the Xtreme Night Banner.
Harris went 3-1 during his UFC run, with his only loss during that stretch coming against Maiquel Jose Falcao Goncalves in November.
Nakamura (15-10) is coming off back-to-back UD wins over Hidehiko Yoshida and most recently Karl Amousso, after incurring losses against Jorge Santiago and Kazuo Misaki while competing for Sengoku.
DREAM 17 will feature the opening round of the promotion’s bantamweight grand-prix, and will also see lightweight champion Shinya Aoki fight former WEC champ Rob McCullough in a non-title fight.
