It was a big night Friday for veterans Gilbert Yvel and Maurice Smith, as both men recorded highlight reel knockouts at Resurrection Fighting Alliance 2 in Kearney, Nebraska.

After a bit of a slow start, Yvel stunned fellow UFC vet Houston Alexander with a left hook and then finished the light-heavyweight off with a follow up right hand.

Competing at the age of 50, the MMA pioneer Smith recorded his first win since 2008, by knocking out Jorge Cordoba with a third round, head kick.
