The day before GLOR 21 goes down in San Diego, the kickboxing promotion has announced that its heavyweight champ Rico Verhoeven will battle Benjamin Adegbuyi on June 5th.

The title fight will headline GLORY 22, which will be hosted by the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille, France.

Verhoeven (45-10) is coming off a stoppage win over Errol Zimmerman in February, who was unable to continue after injuring his knee. The Dutch heavyweight is 4-1 in his last 5 fights.

Adegbuyi (18-2) decisioned Daniel Lentie in his last outing, which took place at a Super Kombat card in March. The Romanian fighter has won nine straight bouts.

Friday’s GLORY 21, meanwhile, will feature middleweight champion Artem Levin taking on Simon Marcus. The main card will be broadcast on SPIKE.
