GLORY 24: Artem Levin-Joe Schilling III to Headline Event

By FCF Staff

Artem Levin and Joe Schilling have their rubber match booked, as GLORY has announced that a third bout between the two will headline its October 9th card in Denver.

The middleweights battled for the first time in 2013, and Schilling (19-6, 11 KO) won the bout via decision. In the rematch last June, however, Levin (50-4-2, 33 KO) earned a decision victory and in doing so, laid claim to GLORY’s middleweight title.

Levin defended the title in May be battling Simon Marcus to a majority draw. Schilling, meanwhile, decisioned Robert Thomas in his last kickboxing bout, which took place in February.

Schilling has also fought for Bellator twice this year. In April, he lost via split decision to Rafael Carvalho, and in June, he was knocked out by Hisaki Kato.

“This is a trilogy fight we needed to make happen; the fans demanded it. Levin and Schilling both lay claim to being the world’s best middleweight and this third fight will definitively show everyone who is right.” GLORY CEO Jon Franklin said in the official announcement. “On top of that, they’ve split the first two fights and there’s no love lost between them, giving us the makings of an instant classic. Two elite strikers in their primes are going to give it all for GLORY gold and the bragging rights of putting the other in second place forever.”

GLORY 24 will be hosted by the Magness Arena in Denver. The card will also feature a heavyweight contender tournament, however, the competitors have not been announced.

The main card will be broadcast on SPIKE.
