New York, NY – GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league, today announced two replacements and one new bout for GLORY 31 SuperFight Series in Amsterdam on Saturday, June 25.

Due to injury, GLORY Light Heavyweight World Champion Artem Vakhitov will no longer defend his title in the headline bout of GLORY 31 SuperFight Series.

In his place, Congolese knockout artist Zack “The Black Warrior” Mwekassa (14-3, 12 KO) takes on Vakhitov’s previously scheduled opponent, Dutch-Tunisian veteran Mourad “The Silent Power” Bouzidi (79-22-2, 34 KO), currently ranked No. 3 and riding a four-fight winning streak.

Last week, GLORY announced the formation of its Super Bantamweight division and Grand Prix tournament to determine the inaugural champion of the new weight class.

In the second of four quarterfinal bouts to play out this year, 21-year-old Dutch prospectIsis Verbeek (8-2, 5 KO) will face Russian veteran Irina Mazepa (10-19, 5 KO) at GLORY 31 SuperFight Series.

Replacing previously announced Iman Barlow in the match-up, Mazepa steps in from the tournament reserve bout against Ferial Ameeroedien, who will be rebooked at a later date.

Welterweights Máximo “The Gladiator” Suarez (38-4, 21 KO) of Spain and GLORY newcomer Eyevan “Mister Cool” Danenberg of the Netherlands will kick off the card live on UFC FIGHT PASS.
