GLORY Champ Rico Verhoeven Reports Bellator Has Made Him Offer
By FCF Staff
After earning a stoppage win in his MMA debut, GLORY’s heavyweight champ Rico Verhoeven is reporting that he’s been extended an offer from Bellator.
The 27 year-old striker made his MMA debut last October, and stopped Viktor Bogutzki in the opening round, while competing in Romania. Verhoeven recently spoke with MMA Junkie.com, and while doing so, he said Bellator has made him an offer. Verhoeven also relayed he read WSOF President Ray Sefo is interested in bringing him to the promotion.
Verhoeven also stated in the aforementioned interview that training and fighting in MMA gets him “excited”, and that his current deal with GLORY is complete. The kickboxing promotion has matching rights, however, for three months.
The Dutch fighter currently holds a 48-10-1 record in kickboxing.
