GLORY Returns to Denver With Light-Heavyweight Title Fight

DENVER – This summer, the world’s premier stand-up combat league returns to the Mile High City.
On Friday, Aug. 10, 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colo. – the second stop during the promotion’s five-city Summer of GLORY 2018 campaign – plays host to GLORY 56 Denver and light heavyweight champion Artem Vakhitov (19-5, 8 KO, fighting out of Russia), who returns to defend his title against No. 4-ranked challenger Danyo “Dibuba” Ilunga (60-13, 45 KO, fighting out of Germany) in the night’s headline bout.
Vakhitov enters the championship tilt seeking his fourth consecutive title defense, while the reinvigorated Ilunga looks to collect his third straight victory and his first GLORY belt. In their 2015 meeting at GLORY 25 Milan, Vakhitov earned a unanimous decision and began his current six-fight winning streak.
Additional fight card details for GLORY 56 Denver, as well as GLORY 56 SuperFight Series and the GLORY 56 prelims, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets for GLORY 56 Denver, with prices ranging $45 – $170, go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. MT on Monday, June 18 and will be available for online purchase at altitudetickets.com or by phone at 866-461-6556.
Starting today, fans that register (or have previously registered) at glorykickboxing.com will have an opportunity to purchase tickets for GLORY 56 Denver three days before tickets go on sale to the general public. The exclusive presale begins this Friday, June 15 at 10 a.m. MT. Those that register will receive an email before Friday’s presale with instructions on how to access this exclusive event.
