GSP Brings in Former Foe to Prepare for Carlos Condit

Hardy

By FCF Staff

Georges St. Pierre has enlisted the services of a former opponent to help him prepare for his upcoming, October 29th bout with Carlos Condit, as ex-challenger Dan Hardy has reportedly headed out to train with the UFC welterweight champ.

St. Pierre announced Hardy’s arrival on his official Twitter account, stating:

Guess who landed in town yesterday night to come train with me?for sure he’ll bring the much needed intensity to get prepared…Dan Hardy!!!

Other recent posts on St. Pierre’s Twitter account indicate that the Canadian is currently in New York, as he’s mentioned training at both Phil Nurse’s and Renzo Gracie’s facilities.

Hardy (23-10) has faced both St. Pierre and Condit previously. In March, 2010, the British fighter lost by unanimous decision to the champion, and at UFC 120 last October, Hardy was knocked out by Condit in the first round.

St.Pierre will meet Condit at UFC 137, which will be hosted by the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
