Guida vs. Henderson, MacDonald vs. Ebersole Among Latest UFC Additions

On a day where the Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced that former Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem will take on the promotion’s former champ Brock Lesnar, December 30th, several more bouts have been confirmed for the company’s upcoming schedule. Lightweight contenders Ben Henderson (14-2) and Clay Guida (29-11) have agreed to fight on the promotion’s November 12th, UFC on Fox 1 event, which will be hosted by Anaheim’s Honda Center. The bout will be part of the night’s preliminary card, which as of yet, has not had any broadcast plans announced.

In addition, a bantamweight bout between Norifumi “Kid” (18-4) and Darren Uyenoyama (6-3) has been confirmed for the event.

The November 12th card will be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos, which will be broadcast live on Fox.

The UFC has also confirmed two welterweight bouts for its December 10th event in Toronto, Ontario, as Rory MacDonald (12-1) will take on Brian Ebersole (48-14-1) and Rich Attonito (10-4) will fight Claude Patrick (14-1).

A lightweight fight between UFC newcomers John Cholish (7-1) and Mitch Clarke (9-0) has also been added to the card.

The UFC 140 event will be hosted by Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. The card’s main event has yet to be announced.
