Following an impressive, unanimous decision win over Bart Palaszewski in February, top ranked featherweight Hatsu Hioki will meet the surging Ricardo Lamas next on June 22nd.

The bout will be part of the UFC on FX 4 card which will be hosted by the Revel in Atlantic City.

Hioki’s (26-4) win over Palaszewski moved his Octagon record to 2-0, after the Japanese fighter earned a split decision win over George Roop at UFC 137 last October.

The former Sengoku and Shooto champion has won six straight bouts and is 9-1 in his last ten.

In a report from FOX Sports.com, UFC President Dana White was quoted saying that Hioki “wants one more test before going for the belt.”

Lamas (11-2) is also coming off a memorable performance as the experienced wrestler tapped out Cub Swanson in November with a second round, arm-triangle-choke.

Prior to the win, Lamas stopped Matt Grice at a UFC Live card in June, after being knocked out by Iuri Alcantara at WEC 53 in December, 2010.

The American is 4-1 in his last five bouts.

The UFC on FX 4 card will be headlined by a lightweight bout between contenders Clay Guida and Gray Maynard.
