HDNet to Broadcast Weigh-Ins and Prelims for Sept. 10th Strikeforce

Strikeforce has announced today that the official weigh-ins and the preliminary bouts for the promotions’ upcoming September 10th “World Grand Prix Semifinals” event will be broadcast live on HDNet.

The main card, which will be hosted by Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena, will be broadcast on Showtime. (Pictured: Rafael Cavalcante kneeing “King Mo” Lawal)

Bouts scheduled for the night’s preliminary card include Mike Kyle (18-8-1) vs. light-heavyweight Marcos Rogerio de Lima (8-0), light-heavyweight Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante (10-3) vs. Yoel Romero (4-0), welterweight Jordan Mein (22-7) vs. Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos (18-14) and a 135-pound fight between Amanda Nunes (6-1) and Alexis Davis (10-4).

HDNet will begin broadcasting the preliminary bouts at 8:00PM ET / 5:00PM PT.

The September 10th card will feature the semifinals of Strikeforce’s ongoing heavyweight grand prix, which will see Josh Barnett take on Sergei Kharitonov and Daniel Cormier face Antonio Silva.

The main card will also see middleweight champion Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza look to defend his belt versus challenger Luke Rockhold.

Other main card bouts include former light-heavyweight champion “King Mo” Lawal vs. Roger Gracie and former lightweight champ Josh Thomson vs. Maximo Blanco.
