Hector Lombard Fighting Brian Stann in Octagon Debut

By FCF Staff

It didn’t take long for the UFC to announce who the newly signed Hector Lombard will meet in his Octagon debut, as the promotion has confirmed that the former Bellator champ will fight established middleweight Brian Stann.

The official announcement relayed that Lombard will fight Stann “this August in Los Angeles”, however, a date and venue for the bout has not been confirmed. According to multiple reports though, the bout is expected to be part of the UFC on FOX 4 card which will be hosted by the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Lombard (31-2) joins the UFC possessing one of the more impressive undefeated streaks currently running in the sport, as the 34 year-old-veteran hasn’t lost in 25 fights.

More recently the American Top Team fighter and former Olympic judo competitor has scored wins over Faliniko Vitale, Alexander Shlemenko, Jesse Taylor and Joe Doerksen.

Stann (12-4) is coming off a dominant, first round stoppage of Alessio Sakara on April 14th, after being submitted by number one contender Chael Sonnen in October.

The powerful striker has also recorded wins over Chris Leben, Jorge Santiago, and Mike Massenzio in his last five bouts.
